There were plenty of stories swapped today when close to three dozen past baseball greats and other sports celebrities teed off in the Eleventh Annual Jim 'Mudcat' Grant All-Star Golf Tournament presented by Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York at The Links at Hiawatha Landing. Headed-up by Grant who was a two-time American League All-Star and a 21 game winner with the Minnesota Twins, the tournament raises money for four local charities including: The Broome County Urban League, Catholic Charities of Broome County, CHOW and the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton. Five of the participants visited WNBF's Roger Neel before they headed to the golf course this morning. Mudcat Grant was joined by: the President and CEO of Security Mutual, Bruce Boyea; Binghamton Baseball Shrine member and former New York Yankee, Al Downing; John Schmitt, starting center on the New York Jets Super Bowl Championship Team and Val Henson, a major tournament contributor.
