The Albany Great Danes proved too much for the Binghamton Bearcats down the stretch yesterday and went on a 9-2 run late in the game to seal a 59-47 victory.  The Bearcats trailed by just one point 44-43 with just 8:20 left in the game.

Binghamton had a strong start opening with a 13-2 lead.  The Great Danes countered and took a 25-24 advantage with 3:22 left in the second period.

Kim Albrecht led all scorers with 20 points.  Alyssa James notched her seventh double- double of the season.  She scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bearcats.

With the win the Great Danes move to 4-0 in America East and 14-3 overall.  Binghamton drops to 2-2 in conference play and 7-10 overall.  The Bearcats travel to Burlington, Vermont to meet the Catamounts on Thursday at 7:00 PM (air at 6:45 PM on ESPN 1360 AM.
