Airport Road Reconstruction

Broome County Public Works Commissioner Dan Schofield says a portion of the Airport Road/Lewis Road intersection is going to be closed tomorrow (Friday, July 22).  Road crews plan to complete intersection construction work which is part of the Airport Road Reconstruction Project.  This is expected to be in effect for tomorrow only.

According to a release from Broome County Lewis Road will be closed in both directions from Middle Stella Ireland Road through the intersection of Airport Road/Lewis Road and East Maine Road.  Information supplied by Broome County indicates that westbound traffic on Lewis Road will be detoured to Middle Stella Ireland Road.

For those who travel eastbound from East Maine Road will be allowed to travel in both the north and south directions on Airport Road.

Traffic will not be permitted to travel east through the Lewis Road intersection.
