The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning until 7 p.m. November 21 with over a foot of snow projected for the Twin Tiers.  An additional 4-8 inches of snow was being called for by the National Weather Service for the day.

A Wind advisory was also issued with gusts expected to reach up to 50 miles per hour.

Most of the power outages reported by New York State Electric and Gas in the region had been resolved overnight.

Some schools, that already were scheduled for a shortened week due to Thanksgiving, were getting an additional day or a few hours off.

While municipal winter parking rules for Johnson City and the City of Binghamton don’t start until December 1, the rule prohibiting parking on Town of Union streets after a 2 inch snowfall run from November 15 to April 15.  The Town also warns it is prohibited by law to dump snow in the street.
