Addiction Report Results Discussed

Freshman New York State Senator Fred Akshar II of Colesville is participating in a news conference to talk about the rampant problem of heroin and opioid addiction in the state.

The Republican is a member of the New York State Senate Joint Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction.

The panel is announcing the findings and recommendations of a new report on the addiction crisis that compiled information from several forums around the state and testimony from medical experts, treatment providers, law enforcement and affected residents.
