A Rochester woman is accused of driving drunk and shearing a utility pole in half in Endwell, leaving 20 homes without power for over five hours.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they measured 43 year old Elisabeth Reynolds blood alcohol content at .19% after she crashed into the pole on Country Club Road at 4:18 a.m. November 24.

Officials say Reynolds left the scene of the crash and was found a short time later on Hooper Road near Watson Boulevard driving a heavily damaged vehicle with no operable headlights.

Reynolds is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, misdemeanor DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and moving from a lane unsafely.

Her vehicle was towed from the scene and Reynolds was ordered to appear in Town of Union Court at a later date.
