A Delaware County man is facing lengthy jail sentences after Sheriff’s Deputies arrested him again on accusations of selling heroin.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Investigation Division officers call 33 year old Gerald “Jerry” Johnson of Walton a career drug dealer.

June 3, new drug trafficking charges were filed against Johnson for drug trafficking related to sales of heroin in the village of Walton.

In 2013, Johnson was arrested on three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child and was placed on probation.  The Sheriff’s Office says a year later, while still on probation, Johnson was arrested again for criminal sale of a controlled substance and violating probation.  He was sent to jail and served seven months before being released and placed on parole.

Undersheriff Craig DuMond said “probation, parole and moths of shock incarceration hasn’t phased him. He repeatedly continues to victimize our communities and our citizens. He deserves every day of the 24 years he is facing.”
