More children will be able to enjoy playing at Otsiningo Park.

A new, handicapped accessible playground officially opened at the park yesterday.

The Binghamton Rotary and the Adopt a Park program raised $15,000 for the new playground equipment.

The new facility was installed next to the current playground at the park.

All children are able to use the equipment, regardless of ability.

County and Adopt a Park officials say its important for all children to be able to interact and play.

Programs are currently underway to raise funds to install more handicapped accessible equipment other parks around the region.

Broome County Parks officials say they hope the availability of the accessible equipment will also make Otsiningo a destination for families outside of Broome County.
