A Windsor woman is accused of driving while intoxicated while at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say at 3:20 p.m. May 13, a witness reported seeing a Ford Explorer in the Sheriff’s Office parking lot that seemed suspicious.

Authorities say 48 year old Stacey Stafford got out of the vehicle and entered the Administration area of the office where she told Corrections Officers she was there to pick up a friend who was being released from jail.

The Officer said Stafford showed signs of intoxication and the Highway Patrol Division was notified.

Within minutes, Stafford was given and failed a field sobriety test in the parking lot and arrested for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving without a license for driving while her license was suspended and refusing to take a breath test.
