A Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania man is facing felony charges in Broome County after he was arrested in the Village of Johnson City.

Village police say they were investigating a minor crash on Main Street when 54 year old John Schultz of Kingsley pulled up and said he was lost.

Officers say they saw him stumbling and apparently confused and possibly impaired.

As Schultz was looking for his driver’s license in his vehicle, officers say they saw a handgun, which was loaded, in the front seat.

Authorities say Schultz did not have a license for the gun.

He’s charged with two felony weapon possession counts and misdemeanor driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Schultz was sent to the Broome County Jail.
