Johnson City graduate Jerry D'Amigo has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League.  D'Amigo was traded from the Toronto Maple leafs to Columbus.  He signed with the Maple Leafs after playing his freshman season with RPI of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

After three seasons in the Leafs' organization D'Amigo was traded to Columbus on July 1 in exchange for forward Matt Frattin.  D'Amigo made his NHL debut on December 5, 2013 against the Dallas Stars.

D'Amigo was a sixth round draft pick of Toronto in the 2009 NHL Draft.  In 240 career American Hockey League games he has scored 56 goals and added 61 assists for 118 points.  He picked up 119 minutes in penalties as well.   In the NHL D'Amigo  notched one goal and two assists in 22 games.
