A former Pennsylvania bank employee is being charged with numerous counts, including forgery and identity theft after five Bradford County customers of the M&T Bank North Towanda Branch reported substantial amounts of money missing from their accounts in July.

March 6, Pennsylvania State Police say they arrested 31 year old Jessica Miller of Towanda and charged her with forgery, identity theft, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

The five customers from Towanda, Monroeton, Rome, Warren Center and New Albany had a total of $97,619 taken, which the bank reimbursed.  That loss to the bank has resulted in Buffalo-based M&T also listed as a victim.

According to the arrest report, the customers that were targeted ranged in age from 62 to 82 years old.

A preliminary hearing in the case has been set for later this month in Bradford County District Court.
