A Chenango County man is facing drug-related charges following the execution of a ‘no-knock’ search warrant on Kelly Road in the Town of Columbus.

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials say the raid shortly before 5 a.m. February 21 was part of an investigation involving the distribution of narcotics in the county.

24 year old Kody Weidman was arrested and charged with criminal nuisance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff’s officials say they seized cocaine and a digital scale from the home.

Weidman is currently on parole in New York for a previous drug offense.

He was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $5,000 bail.
