75+ Broome Properties to be Auctioned Off

Dozens of properties could be returned to the tax rolls as Broome County auctions off foreclosed parcels September 17.

Some of the properties are open for potential buyers to see Sunday, September 11. Times and locations of the open houses can be found on the auctioneer’s website: www.manasseauctions.com. The list of parcels can also be found at that site with tax maps available from the county at www.bcgis.com.

Nearly 80 properties, including single and multi-family homes, vacant lots and others are being sold as-is. Real Property Director Dave Hamlin says potential buyers need to look very carefully at the lots since some may have code violations or lead paint that will have to be addressed by the new owner.

The auction starts with registration at 8:30 the 17^th at the Binghamton Holiday Inn with bidding starting at 10 a.m.
