The Events Center was a busy place April 27.  After a record crowd of 550 attended the Celebrating Women's Athletics Luncheon another crowd of over 400 was on hand for the 68th Annual Athletics Awards Banquet.

Several hundred student athletes were honored for work in the classroom as well as in athletic competition.

Academic Achievement Awards were given to the senior male and female student-athletes with the highest undergraduate grade-point averages.  Soccer standout Emily Nuss from Jamesville, NY had the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) among female student athletes.  She has a 3.86 GPA in Cell and Molecular Biology.  The male student-athlete with the highest GPA is Robin Lesage from Millose, France.  He has attained a 3.88 GPA in Management.

Athlete of the Year Awards were presented to three outstanding student-athletes.  Male Co-Athletes of the year were selected.  Wrestler Tyler Deuel and track runner Jesse Garn share top honors.  The Female Athlete of the Year Award goes to track performer Keishorea Armstrong.
