The 41st Annual Grecian Festival got underway today at noon at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, One Hellenic Center, 4121 O'Hara Drive in Vestal.  The Festival runs through Sunday.  Activities begin each day at noon and will run until 10 PM tonight through Saturday with Sunday hours ending at 6 PM.

The Festival includes plenty of Greek specialties for meals and desserts.  Chicken Kabobs and Gyros were popular items off the grill.  Moussaka, Spanakopeta and Greek Chicken were among the most asked for dinner items.

Desserts include the ever popular Baklava with Revani and the remarkably delicious  Honey Puffs topping the list as well.  Many people ate under the big tent while others stayed outdoors enjoying their grilled treats .  Take out is available and a large segment of visitors ate their meal there and got orders to go as well.

Sunday will feature Lamb Dinners.  Entertainment includes "The Hellenic Dancers" along with plenty of Greek music.  There are additional parking spaces added this year near the church while shuttle bus service is offered from the NYSEG parking lot to and from the Festival grounds.  All proceeds will benefit the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
