Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Three people were hurt in an altercation involving knives on the Tompkins Cortland Community College campus in the town of Dryden.

Authorities say four people were "directly involved" in Thursday afternoon's disturbance.

One person was being treated at a Syracuse hospital after being stabbed in the neck. Two others who sustained cuts were treated at Cortland Medical Center and released.

According to a brief statement released by the college, two knives were recovered following the dispute. A knife was possessed by one of those who was hurt in the incident. The other knife was found in a trash container at the Cortland hospital.

Officials say two of those involved in the fight had been living in residence halls and the two others reside off-campus. All four have been banned from campus.

Investigators say anyone with information about the altercation may contact campus police at (607) 844-6511.
