Three new members have been selected for induction into the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame.  The new members are Rob Zamuner, Scott Allegrino and Bob Moppert.  They will be honored in ceremonies prior to the Friday, March 13 Binghamton Senators home game against the Hershey Bears.

Zamuner played 141 games with the Binghamton Rangers after being drafted by the New York Rangers in 1989.  While in Binghamton Zamuner scored 44 goals and accumulated 155 points.  He advanced to play in the National Hockey League.  In the summer of 1992 Zamuner signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning and played seven seasons with them.  He was named their team captain in 1998.  He played in over 700 NHL games and registered over 300 points.

Scott Allegrino began his career working in the dressing room with the Binghamton Whalers.  A Binghamton native, he is a 1990 graduate of Seton Catholic Central .  He moved to the East Coast Hockey League and worked with Winston-Salem, New Orleans, and Wheeling before joining the American Hockey League's Kentucky Thoroughblades.  In 2002 Allegrino took over as Head Equipment Manager for the Binghamrton Senators where he stayed until the 2005-06 season when he joined Binghamton's parent team, Ottawa.  He is now in his ninth season as Ottawa's Head Equipment Manager.  He and his family still make their off-season home in Binghamton.

Bob Moppert was a popular figure around the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena as it was called in the days of the Broome Dusters and Binghamton Whalers.  He was the longtime organist for the teams and would electrify fans with his rendition of "Bad Bad Lee Roy Brown" and other crowd favorites.  He was a founding member of the Binghamton Whalers Hall of Fame which is now the Binghamton Hockey Hall of Fame. He chaired the All-Star Game organizing committee that brought the AHL All-Star game to Binghamton in 2008.  He was active in numerous community endeavors including serving as a  Broome Community College trustee and as a former Broome County legislator.  Bob passed away in 2011.
