Authorities are investigating a fire at a house in Conklin that has been vacant since being abandoned following the flood in 2006. The blaze on Conklin Road was reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. October 9th.

According to neighbors, there had been no one in the house and no utilities since the flood over 6 years ago.

Heavy damage was reported to the rear of the building.

There were no injuries to firefighters from Conklin, the Town of Binghamton and Five Mile Point who responded to the scene.
