Broome County Sheriff’s Officials say they had to break up a big party on private property that was being thrown without the land-owner’s permission.

Authorities say over 250 people, in various states of intoxication were found at a stone quarry on Saxby Road in the Town of Windsor Saturday, April 16.

Investigators say they found firearms were being used by drunk people, heroin and methamphetamine were also at the scene.

Officials say the same location had been a concern last year when party-goers were seriously hurt and intoxicated drivers were involved in crashes when they were leaving.

Deputies say in the latest incident, the participants and their hired disc jockey cleaned up the mess and agreed not to return.

Authorities checked vehicles to make sure there were no intoxicated drivers leaving the site.

Seven party-goers were charged with possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21 and one person was arrested for disorderly conduct.

The Sheriff’s office says people have to have permission from the land owner to be on private property or risk arrest for trespassing.
