An Endicott man is under arrest in connection with the discovery of a methamphetamine manufacturing operation on Lester Avenue in Johnson City over the weekend.

April 11, someone reported a smell of chemicals coming from the building and police found what they believed to be an active “one-pot” meth lab and evacuated the building.

The material was safely removed without incident.

April 16, Johnson City and Endicott Police along with members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force located 34 year old Donald Calabrese on Central Street in Endicott.

After a short foot-chase, Calabrese was taken into custody and charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine.
