A Hillcrest man is facing charges after allegedly approaching a Broome County Sheriff’s Deputy in a menacing way following a brief stand-off in a vehicle.

Officials say 37 year old Danny Brink failed to comply with Deputies’ orders when they responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Center Street and drove off.

The Deputy followed Brink around the block before the man stopped, got out of his vehicle and approached the officer in a confrontational manner.

The incident ended when Brink surrendered after being told the Deputy was going to use a Taser.

Brink was charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the domestic disturbance and obstructing governmental administration.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail on $1,000 bail.
