10th District Broome Legislator Confirmed

A Town of Chenango woman will fill out the rest of the 10^th district term following the resignation of Legislator Jerry Marinich.

Cindy O’Brien has been confirmed by the legislature to fill the vacancy.

She has worked in the past for the Broome Department of Social Services, the Village of Johnson City and Town of Barker Courts and in the Chenango Forks and Chenango Valley School Districts.

Marinich left the post at the beginning of the year to become the director of emergency services for the county.

The unexpired term runs through the end of this year.
